Most boring heavyweight fight of 2005?

Okay, I've put "Other" as an option in case you want to make your own suggestions, but I don't really see how you can top these two: Chris Byrd vs. DaVarryl Williamson and Hasim Rahman vs. Monte Barrett.

I just saw the Byrd fight, which I had 116-112 for Byrd. The referee instructing them to actually fight was a little out of his jurisdiction I felt (what do the rest of you make of it?) but any fight where Byrd is the aggressor has to be a bad thing. The highlight for me was that my copy lost the transmission signal halfway through round seven. Sadly though, it came back on after a minute. Oh well.

Rahman-Barrett... the only two highlights were where Rahman was hurt in the last(?) round by feather-fisted Barrett, making next month's title bout a mockery, though this was topped by that time they kicked over the ice bucket, which was highlight of the night. I had Rahman only just ahead at 115-113.

If I had to pick, I'd say Rahman-Barrett was the worst. Byrd was dull, but I could appreciate the skill involved. Rahman's just an overrated plodder.

    But what say you?

    The poll is expired.

The ones you mentioned were very boring but for some reason the Brewster/Meehan fight sticks out in my mind as very boring but thet was in late 04 wasnt it...
