Marco Antonio Rubio hopes to challenge Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. for the WBC middleweight championship before the end of this year. Chavez will return on September 24 in Mexico and Rubio does not appear to be one of the options. In the WBC rankings, Rubio is sitting in the number one position. Chavez may also fight again on November 19, against Peter Manfredo Jr. Rubio is planning to return on September 3 in San Luis Potosi.

Rubio is a limited fighter, but he has a good chin and heavy hands. If Chavez Jr ever gets in a ring with Veneno, I'll guess it could be a KO for Veneno in the late rounds.
