Cotto does a lot more things than Margarito and he does them much better. However, Margarito is not going to be lacking confidence in this fight or he simply wouldn't be the same fighter. That being said, I'm sure he'll still feel he can win but I think it'll be based more on the fact that Cotto will quit again and/or is scared of him. If he did use wraps in the first fight (he would know) that is no doubt going to affect his psyche. What if he gets stomped on for the first 6 rounds again, but this time he can't catch up to Cotto or Cotto isn't slowing down? What if the eye gets really nasty again?

You don't take the beatings Marg did without some psychological affect, it may not be prior to the fight but they'll come out during it. It isn't like Margarito wanted to be in that ring, watch the corner before the 12th round. They left the mouthpiece in and were asking him for 40 seconds and he didn't reply, he wanted to quit on that stool Mexican style, but his corner made him go out there. Just because you come forward and walk into punches, doesn't make your beating any less than if you were backing away from them like Cotto.

    Cotto by decision, 9-3.

I'm picking Margarito because I believe he will benefit from the fight being at 154 more than Cotto, as well as Marg having found a great trainer in Garcia.

Im sure Mannys done some great work with Cotto, but I kind of see that as more of just a paycheck for Manny. He trains a lot of guys in different places, meanwhile Garcia is in the same Gym with pretty much the same guys everyday and obviously has more interest in his fighters than Manny (outside of Wlad).

I think Robert is going to have Margarito in beast mode come fight night with a brilliant game plan to back up the aggression. I don't think Cotto will be able to handle it.

I think Garcia makes the difference in this fight. Sure, Cotto has Steward, but he was already a good fighter. Did he teach him that many new things?

You know Tony learned some new stuff. Before Garcia, his fights were just - Move forward, punch a million times.

I like Tony. If he wins, I hope he does what he did to Cintron after he quit.

I got Mararito....he took 2 beatings but I don't think it will have an effect on him. He will own cotto again, he knows he doest like pressure and he will just take his shots like he eats everyone's punches and walk cotto down until he takes another knee.

Cotto thinks and likes to portray himself as a genuine hardman but he has quit in him. Margarito is just a bad ass dude that doesn't need to try and fix that image in our heads...he knows he's got bad intentions!!

It's hard to tell whether those two beatings have ****ked with his mental state. He didn't look like the same relentless, come forward Mexican that fought Cotto against Robert Garcia. That left many of us questioning whether Mosley had damaged him psychologically, as well as physically. Many of us believed that perhaps he questioned his ability to absorbed punishment, as Mosley showed that he could indeed be broken down, and demolished. However, the same Margarito who was relentless, and applied non-stop pressure against, and Pre-Cotto showed up against Pacquiao. Many believe that this clearly shows Margarito doesn't get discouraged, however his fight against Robert Garcia(pre-Manny) tells another tune. Margarito had a huge mental boost against Pac, as he believed he was the bigger man, and little Pacquiao couldn't hurt him. It was evident in his ****iness, and verbal assaults towards Pac.

I believe that despite those two beatings the same confidence that Margarito had against Pac will be their against Cotto, as he has defeated Cotto before in brutal fashion, by stopping him, and making him quit. This confidence will enable him to take Cotto's best, and apply non-stop pressure, as he is known for. Can his body hold up though, as it did in 2008? Or could Cotto hold up, and not crumble under Margarito's non stop pressure? That's the intriguing aspect of the fight, as well as the wrap scandal, and whether the first fight was legit, or a cause of cheating. Whatever, happens it will be a night that we won't forget.

I don't care what anyone says, Margarito DOES have a mental edge over Cotto going into this fight IMHO, Physically they are both at the same page but mentally I have Margarito ahead but that doesn't mean Cotto doesn't stand a chance, We would see how Cotto reacts when he sees Rito across the ring.
