LOL for a pro boxer a pair of gloves is a pair of gloves because they get the gloves special made be it from reyes, grant, authentic, or everlast.... Green had 4 pairs of gloves made ..for this fight which where grants/ tarver saw that disagreed and mcgirt stepped in and showed him the advantage..

The true story from this fight is that Buddy Mcgirt finally brought one of his fighters to a big win.

          If its true!
I think it wasn't a glove problem, Jones complained about the handwraps.

I just love how it's assumed that Tarver is a Hall of Famer! Whether it's to make the loss look less laughable for Green fans or not, I don't know. It seems like every **** and his dog is a HOFer these days. Hatton's a HOFer, Tarver's now a HOFer, Cotto's a HOFer, Margarito's a HOFer, Billy Dib's a HOFer, Glen Johnson supposedly a HOFer too! ****, people are already saying Froch, Ward, and Abraham are HOFers as well as Emmanuel Augustus and Micky Ward.

Please, HOfers are the very greatest, stand out fighters of each era/generation and in the history of the game, not pretty good champions and popular guys.

                This article makes no sense.
                Same with Joe Calzaghe.

Also, is Tarver definitely a future HOFer?

Yeah it seem easier to get in these days, Just been popular as a boxer seem to be enough to make you an HOF'er nowadays..

                    Exactly! People are overlooking this.
McGirt is a worldclass loser/failure and yesterday one of his fighters won a major bout.
                    Kudos!

That's a good question. One thing you have to keep in mind is Tarver was the "first" fighter to ever defeat RJJ. Although Tarver lost 6 bouts, he's won all of his rematches except the Dawson fight.

Is he HOF? I think he needs 1 - 2 more big wins...
