They usually have a bucket of water with them. My Filipino friend told me about it. Upper-middle class families in the Philippines usually have a bidet installed with their toilet.

Majority of Asian does it the same way, however, they apply water and then soap to wash it down clean. They do it that way to fell fresh after taking a dump. Of course, they have and need to wash their hand after doing the ritual.
