last time I looked Martinez beat the lineal middleweight champ kelly pavlik at 160. Darren Barker has always fought at 160. Martinez wanted to fight Zbik at 160, but HBO rejected and told him to fight Dzinziruk. he took the 1st fight with Paul Williams at 160 on 2 weeks notice.

Roach just wants to throw Quillin in the mix to save Chavez jr's ass. maybe Quillin should fight somebody instead of taxi drivers and bums before he talks ****.

Yeah I read it, and Quillin is not a full fledged middleweight, he's still a super middleweight. Yeah, maybe just by 3 or 4 pounds, but still a super middleweight.

he is talking about as far as him calling out Manny and Mayweather....AND I THINK HE IS RIGHT! If he can get a fight with Mayweather or Pacquiao then great, if not they he will have no choice but to fight the fighters that are willing to fight him at 154-160 and Quillin is one of those guys that WANTS to fight him

FYI, Quilin is a super middleweight. That's 8 pounds above middleweight. From what I can gather, Quilin is just trying to bait Martinez into a fight. Not gonna happen. And what's more, Quilin is trained by Freddie Roach, who insists that Martinez is nothing special in the ring.

Kinda ironic, considering the fact that Roach won't let Chavez and Pacquiao get in the ring with Martinez. Chavez is a full-fledged middleweight, isn't he? Then why won't Roach put him in the ring against Martinez?

Simple. Chavez will get exposed by Martinez, who will destroy him like the fake champion and poser that he is.

Roach is just trying to keep Martinez busy by fighting one of his lesser-known fighters so that he won't have to put Chavez against him. We all know Chavez is a cash cow, albeit a bum. Roach would sooner drown himself than pit Chavez against Martinez.

From what I've seen of Chavez's skills, Martinez-Chavez will make Martinez-Williams II seem like a long fight.
