Neither Matthysse, nor Lara did GBP hype up as the next big guy in boxing. They never had hopes of them being the money maker for them like they did/do for Ortiz.

Neither Ortiz nor Alvarez nor Khan will ever get robbed anytime soon.

Yes GBP has an investment on Floyd. But, if Ortiz wins, Ortiz will get the decision.

I would say yes, I don't think the Judges would favour Mayweather IMO if that scenario happens, Mayweather isn't well liked but I was surprised he got the decision against De la Hoya, because I would have thought the judges had the perfect chance to give Mayweather a Loss on his record.

Im not saying Pac is crooked or anythign. Im just responding to the question asked and my answer is based on the fact that everyone loves Pac and wants him to win every single fight while everyone wants Floyd to lose every single fight. Thats my point
Who's everybody? GBP? You think of the most power promotion on HBO and boxing period would let or want their young buck get robbed against the best fighter from their main rival stable?

Who are the people that want Floyd to lose? HBO doesn't, GBP probably doesn't either, Haymon the most powerful man on HBO doesn't. NSAC knows how much money Floyd brings doubt they wanted it either...

Fans do not control the outcome of such decisions. When a robbery happens is not because of fans.

GBP could give a crap about Ortiz. They have a star lined up for the forseable future.

          Canelo.

GBP wouldnt let Khan vs. Mayweather go to waste. No way.

Of course Ortiz has a chance. In and out of the ring. We've been looking for him and Rios to step up out west. Marquez is getting old and Margo lost to Shane. Margarito was lined up to pull in the LA crowd. But faltered.

We always have someone to fill up a spot.

We have plenty of good boxers ready to get t on

I totally disagree. GBP was openly rooting for Mosley to beat Floyd. Cheering non stop when Floyd almost got KO. You think they wouldnt want a young, handsome, charsamatic (no ****), Mexican-American like Ortiz to win? A guy 24 years old who will fight 3 times a year and would have the stardom after that win to be another Oscar? He has the perfect life story and all. They wouldnt care one bit if Ortiz won that fight.

Now if Ortiz were on Top Rank, who do you think TR would be going for? Who do you think the public would be going for? They would want Pac to win that fight.

The public still matters because the public buys the fights. They hate Floyd and if a guy like Ortiz knocked him off then he is an instant star. Its not the same in Pac's case

HELL NO Ortiz is not going to be HANDED A DECISION, he is going to have to win CONVINCINGLY to get a Decision over Mayweather

all this BS about Mayweather not being liked...he is not liked by SOME FANS and SOME OF THE MEDIA...but the Odd Makers LOVE HIM and also he brings a lot of money to the Sport IN GENERAL

I think even GBP would gladly sacrifice Ortiz to Mayweather if they can be apart of Promoting Mayweather vs Pacquiao

in saying all that, I don't think it will come down to that though, Ortiz knows he will need a KO to win, not because he will "GET ROBBED" but because it will be extremely difficult to out-box Mayweather overall, the longer the fight goes the WORSE it will get for Ortiz IMO

If Ortiz knocks Pac off, he's will be just as big of a star as if he is to knock Floyd off. He will still be that "young, handsome, charismatic, Mexican-American" and even since we playing the "if" game. And, if Ortiz would be with Top rank(he was there early in his career) then Arum could Ortiz as the next Oscar. Because, all that "young, handsome, charismatic, Mexican-American" is basically describing Oscar(no ****)

I can't see Ortiz winning by anything other than a KO.

so what are you saying though? The Floyd part did make sense after all but the Pac part doesnt? Well you were still wrong about that, right?

Anyways on to Pac. Its still different when you are liked. Alot of people buy Floyd to see him get KTFO. It doesnt matter why they buy you as long as they buy you but no one wants there hero to get beat in any sport. Pac is alot of people's idol. Beating him doesnt boost Ortiz like it would to beat Floyd, the guy everyone hates anyway. He would be a hero for doing that. Not for beating Pac
