I recall someone pointing to some interview where he claimed he didn't dehydrate himself fighting at 168 because he fought at his walking weight. How can he he have trouble making weight then? It's only 10 pounds. There's some tricks to lose that water weight easily in 2 days, isn't there?

Abraham would get his ass checked by Martinez.

That to me proves Abraham certainly can't make 160 anymore.

Abraham needs to stay at 168 imo.

He can make it. He may have to modify his training methods in addition to diet, but diet's the main thing.

Abraham has never worked with a nutritionist, now he will and when hes disciplined he will make 160 again. And at 160 he would be the second best after Martinez. I see nobody else at 160 right now that he couldnt beat.
Of course the move back down is not just beccause the SMWs are to big for him, its also because the top guys are just to good for him. I think the SMW is one of the strongest if not the strongest division right now. He tried it but he failed. Now i have no problem if he goes back to the division where hes still unbeaten.

yeah, i guess he just couldn't pull it off at smw. i don't mind seeing him go back down to 160 (if he can actually make the weight), time will tell what happens with AA

Arthur Abraham got outboxed by Carl Froch, Martinez would box the **** outta AA! He's done. I bet he can't even beat guys like David Lemieux @ 160

Lemieux would be the perfect opponent for Abraham. Short come forward fighter with tactical issues and overpacing issues and maybe even chin issues. And physically he looks pretty small for a MW, i think Abraham murders him.

Not a fan of catchweights but its clear Arthur has to ease himself back down to 160. Anyone can make weight but its staying strong that matters as Oscar showed. Aabraham has to follow advice from a nutrionalist and do it properly and if he still cant make it comfortably then the best thing to do would be stay at super middle but just pick the right opponents. He didnt have that luxury in super 6 and had to suffer back to back ownings.

At 160 his bullying style works and lets not forget when he lands he is a tremendous puncher. They will never change his style from a brawlier who opens up in spurts but for most parts hides behind a peek a boo defence. He will always fight like that regardless who he fights as he doesnt have teh ability to adjust, however matched with the right opposition I can see good night ahead for Arthur.
