Good perception. Mental toughness is a trait I don't hear mentioned enough, and it is genuinely a strong suit for both guys.

Ward has an edge in a boxing match, and I expect him to hold when it gets rough. Ward should be able to improve on Dirrell's performance, which means Froch has to change things up if he hopes to win. Ultimately I see Ward winning a decision. Froch's best chance is if he can manage to hurt Ward.

      Wide UD ward.
Trouble with that is Ward always wants an inside fight, he'll opt for that approach every time if the ref lets him.

Actually for this fight he'd be better off with a ref like he had in the Abraham fight who wouldn't let him fight on the inside (like Cortez did with Hatton).

What will ward do without the security of his hometown officials to cheerlead for him?? Dont worry, im sure he will just transport them to the other side of the country, this is the states after all, froch has to stop ward to get the win, no doubt about it

i like ward skills, but i'm leaning towards froch, froch is a dangerous puncher and is going to make ward fight, all in all it's a 50/50 fight.

When have hometown officials ever helped Ward win a fight that he didn't deserve to?

Name one time, go ahead. I'm waiting.
