Yes but do you know the history between the fighters? Murray has made a career by calling out amir khan, then fighting total unknown bums. He didn't say mitchell wasn't world class, he actually rates mitchell and welcomed a fight between them two a while back.

Murray's made a career out of fighting and winning, simple as that. Khan and Murray had their little spat and there was nothing much in it apart from a bit of rivalry.

"He got beat up by a guy who is another domestic fighter" - That's a dismissive remark which implies that Mitchell is not world class or close to it. I know that Mitchell and Khan are supposedly on good terms. This is just another case in a long line of Khan opening his mouth and spewing verbal diarrhoea. It's laughable that this guy claims he "lets his fists do the talking".

Are you really that naive? Khan and his team are the greediest misers in boxing right now, I think that's pretty much accepted as fact. GBP have to negogiate with about ten different opponents for him just to get one to accept his terms. Neither of us are in the know, but I'd cite that as a far more likely reason for this fight falling through.

1. Murray is only KNOWN to most people because he called out khan, because you don't get recognition by fighting total tomato cans like Gary buckland etc......

2. It is true though isn't it? Mitchell isn't world class, he showed that against katsidis and got blown out within 2-3 rounds. I know he had personal problems but thats what the record says and you only become world class by beating other world class opponents its simple as that.

3.Every opponent seems to think when they face khan they should increase their purse by ten folds because they think khan is earning alot more than he really is. The fact is every opponent khan has faced who complained about money have recieved their CAREER high pay days, but khan is the greedy one you say (Except barrera and malinaggi as they have been in much bigger fights). Maidana somehow got 550,000 even though his last fight he only got around 100k...... Then khan offered 50% for all US and UK money including the ppv, but yet he's the "GREEDY ONE"..... In the Mccloskey-khan fight Mccloskey earned more than Khan did because Sky pulled out of the ppv and incidently khan lost more than a Million pounds. But the so called "GREEDY" khan didn't pull out and fought anyway.
GBP have various OPTIONS for khan because like any good promotion company you have to have backups.

4. I support alot of boxers pacquiao, martinez, mayweather, etc and as you can see in my avatar I like haye and hatton not just khan!
