You have to use both aspects when scoring fights IMO. If you go by just sheer numbers, that can be very misleading (look at Iverson great #'s but dont tell the whole story). Floyd didnt land nothing devastating. He landed a couple of straight rights that caught Oscar flush but didnt do anything to stop him from being the aggresor and constantly putting Floyd on the defensive, while be more cautious than he normally is. Many of Floyds punches were blocked or grazed on Oscar, though still counts and landed. So all in all, using personal judgement, along with numbers makes more sense than just going off the #'s alone.

De La Hoya Mayweather reminded me of Vitali Klitschko vs Kevin Johnson and Oscar being Vitali and Floyd being Johnson.

That is where you go wrong. When there are rules in place on how to score a fight your opinion doesn't matter. That is why rules are in place because of opinions and emotions. The rules take those things out of the equation. You get points for affective aggression De la Hoya agrression was not effective. You get points for clean punching not devastating punching. See this is what I am talking about.

Which is ironic since Darwin was an avid believer in and supporter of eugenics.
I'm in favor of Eugenics as well, the proposed improvement of the human species by encouraging or permitting reproduction of only those people with genetic characteristics judged desirable for black, yellow, brown, and white.

Ummm..............Floyd obviously, there was no controversy about that fight at all really and I have not heard anyone seriously claiming DLH actually won.

Is that bad? So, I can't be a fan of anybody like Mayweather if my fave fighter is Murray?

When I signed to make an account here I was not informed that I need to be a fan of Mayweather to be accepted.

I apologize if I missed that rule.
