Its not cheating to come in overweight its ******, but if Corrlaes the promotors agree to go on with the fight than that is that. Honestly, Castillo tried to cheat so he could win and not get his belts back, make himself look like an ass, and have people say the weight is what won him the fight, really? Keep in mind that this has been brought on by everyone who called Corrales a cheater for buying himself extra time with the mouthpiece. Corrales acted within the rules. Castillo, by being unable to make weight, has not.

you can't give Castillo credit for beating a guy unless he does it within the rules. if he wants to come in weighing 156, go to junior middleweight, but don't weigh 156 and beat Corrales, then claim you're the best lightweight in the world. Castillo gets no credit if he pulls out a win tomorrow night. no credit at all.

I am a fan of both fighters but if they both come in above 135 which they will, then you cant differentiate between who is cheating and who isnt. Plus you cant say that Corrales actions in the first fight were within the rules, because they were not. I give him credit for trying it and getting away with it, but he did just that, get away with it due to poor referee judgement. Not forgetting the fact that he and Joe Goosen were beside themselves when Acelino Freitas did the exact same thing.

What about the disadvantage Castillo could have because of the extra poundage..... I dont know but since forever when a fighter has trouble making weight it usually means they arent prepared properly it dont mean they are trying to cheat.

you can't really talk about cotto and santos when defending castillo the rules are you have to make weight for the weigh in which cotto and santos did what you gain after the weigh in does not matter is not against the rules ..bottom line you can't deny that castillo broke the rules by not making weight and give corrales credit for still taking a fight he did not have to take it shows what kind of men he is ...i am not saying castillo did this on purpose i don't belive he did ,i just can't belive that castillo would not make weight for the biggest fight of his career ..
