The only thing that concerns me about Michael Koncz is how he handled (mishandled) Manny's recent marketing/sponsorship problems.

Manny's sponsorship/marketing ventures were a disaster, Arum knew it, and Koncz knew it, and yet Arum was the one who pushed for Lucia McKelvey to oversee Pacquiao's sponsorship and marketing opportunities.

Koncz was actually the one who thought of getting Manny an endorsement team. Before McKelvey, Manny had around 8 different "friends" take care of his American endorsements. Those friends had no experience or business taking care of his endorsement deals.

Koncz is not innocent in all this, though. He was responsible for pulling Manny's book from airing on Jimmy Kimmel, but that might be because he has beef with the author of the book.

There's a lot of stories from both sides, but all I know is that as long as Manny is with Top Rank, Koncz is safe, which is a good and bad thing.

Yes. Manny is an intelligent person who simultaneously signs with TWO promoters.

I heard there were dozens involved, telemarketing and cold-calling everyone they could think of. One particular company said that they had 4 different Pacquiao "representatives" contact them in one day.

I can just picture some secretary hanging up on yet another Pacquiao telemarketer.

You point about Koncz is interesting, and is exactly what I would have expected from him, but that completely contradicts Arum's own statement where he insisted that he commissioned McKelvey himself.
