Might as well see if Fernando Vargas wants to fight him next, or better yet Yori Boy Campas. All this guy fights is bums.

I don't like it, but hey this is a chance of a life time for Golden Boy. The world will be watching Canelo. This is his chance to shine.

Once again, the manufactured Fraudnelo and his circus act gravy train of setups continues! Gomez is not a 154 pound fighter, not even listed in the top 100 at 154 pounds. Funny how that works. He and or his team is afraid to put him against any natural, solid 154 pound fighter.

The funny thing is - Giovanni Segura would probably have the balls to fight him, yet he and his team do not have the balls to fight an elite 154 pound fighter.

And to the fool who said don't disrespect Gomez......I have news for you, it has nothing to do with a lack of respect for Gomez, it is a lack of respect for Canelo for fighting a guy who is not a 154 pound fighter, isn't even rated in the top 100 of that division.

What has Gomez done to challenge for another title since his cannon fodder like performance against Cotto 3 years ago? Since Canelo can't make welter anymore, why not fight actual 154 opponents? He is a titleholder and there are some good contenders in his own weight class: Trout, Vanes, Lara, Wolak, Molina...hell, throw in Latimore and Powell too. I can understand not unifying against the likes of Cotto, Dzinzurik, Bundrage or giving Angulo a shot but act like a champ Canelo!

i don't get all the hate on this guy,he just became champion, nobody is saying he's pound for pound champion or anything like that,he's just an attraction, whats wrong with that? that is why people talk about him a lot..you all want him to face williams, lara, etc but i don't see the other champions calling them out either like cotto, that guy since beating foreman hasnt' fought anybody young,in their prime or another champ,he'll be facing another has been coming off a loss and a year long layoff,i think thats just as bad as canelo fighting gomez

The only time I rooted against Gomez was when he fight cotto, and that won't change when he fights canelo.

I always root for future boxing stars, but Gomez is a class act fighter. I'm hoping for the upset.
