Just watched Margarito vs Mosley again

Hahaha at Mosley touching gloves before every round.

Margarito took so many bombs in that fight. He seemed to handle them well until about the 7th round when he began wilting. Great fight and performance from Mosley.

Yes that was really sick to me because Margarito ate bombs but was still friendly by touching Mosleys's gloves. I mean Margarito could act like Floyd and hit Mosley but instead he touched his gloves like "Yes that was a bomb and I ate it I am looking forward to the next round" . It was also sick to me seeing Margarito retreating. I think 2009 was the saddest and sickest year for boxing.

But Margs got my sympathy in that fight, as well as mad respect for taking that many shots. Is there any other WW who could have taken that many shots for 8 rounds before finally crumbling? In history?

I don't believe Margarito cheated Cotto anymore tbh. The chin, heart and stamina was still there against Mosley and Pacquiao showed and that was his biggest weapon against Cotto. Just my opinion

u are so right...that was 1 of the best upsets in the history of the sport ....i remember before that fight no 1 in america gave shane a chance...the energy in that buildin was amazon...i wanna thank mosley 4 that moment ..he really put an end 2 margarito career

Mosley was the same fighter back then that he is now. The victory is obviously attributed to Margarito's weight problems and if people can't see that they must be blind. Look at the difference in Margarito's physique during the Cotto fight and during the Mosley fight. You see him all weak and boney during the Mosley fight.

Thats why Mosley had extar stamina and strength, cause he was "juiced-up".

This is why the fight was moved from vegas to CA, cause Vegas was gonna blood-test Mosley for EPO Steroids before fighting Margarito.

and CA does not test for EPO.

Wow what a fight that was . Mosley coming in as a 5 to 1 underdog. Margarito seemed to me unbeatable at that point. I was really worried about mosley getting murdered by Margarito but then Mosley fought an excellent fight. He was using his feet and hand speed very well back in that fight. Everytime he clinched Margarito and prevented him working from the inside. It was a big upset and Margarito's legacy was crushed. I still can remember all the posts on this site with the pictures of Margarito getting ktfo by Mosley. The funniest thing was that before every round and after every round Mosley touched Margarito's gloves LOL. I just wanted to remind you guys that back then Mosley was really a great fighter he was a monster in that fight. Everytime I watched that fight I cannot believe it that this outcome really happened. Boxing is the best sport period.

That is 1 of my fav. fights of mosley. i just wished he could have gotten a fight right after margarito instead of waiting almost a year or so to get a match. still would have like to had seen that berto fight tho........
