Yeah it doesn't look like it would've lasted long anyway but damn give us more than that! Thank God for Roman Gonzalez on that card.

You like him? Because, that's my boy right there. Only reason why I watched the damn card.

I have to admit, that shit did look fake and I'm a big Marquez fan. Granted Marquez did land a clean hard shot on his chin but not the kind that puts you into a fuckng coma. If you watch the replay, Marquez initial reaction was kinda like "wtf....really?"

I think I've seen Gonzalez fight once before. After Saturday...I'm a fan. Had a fairly solid opponent in front of him, got hit more than I like but he's damn good. Can't believe he isn't being promoted more.

He's a young good fighter. I thought Teiken promotions was promoting him well at first. Especially in Japan. However, they are/were not doing a good job promoting him over here. I think he's co-promoted by somebody around this side of the globe. But, they're not doing a good job.

It's a shame that Juan Carlos Reveco ducked him. That would have been a solid fight.

And, it's too bad that Segura out grew that weight-class. Because, Gonzalez-Segura could have been a poormen version of Carbajal-Gonzalez.

Roman hits pretty damn hard for that weight-class.

If you guys haven't seen the Yutaka Niida fight. Watch it. Niida was probably the best fighter he has faced thus far. And, that was Gonzalez best performance IMO.

Thanks for the background. How long has he been with Top Rank? I thought maybe I caught him on Telefutura or Telemunda but it might've been another Roman

My first reaction to the KO was that it was fake looking. But on the replay you can see Juan Manuel catch Ramos square on the chin. Also the back of his head and neck shook from the impact (Which is hard to fake). I don't believe it was a fake KO after watching the replay. Ramos would have catapulted his career if he would have beat Marquez, why throw it all away by making chump change with a thrown KO loss?

Realistically, I think Marquez took it up a notch to make sure he would not be in danger of losing this fight and blow his chance at fighting Pac for more green backs.
