A Kevin Mitchell with his head in the right place and not getting up to funny business outside of the ring is a handful for anyone

He'll probably fall short against the big boys at 135, but he's exciting to watch

What the hell are you talking about? Murray was fighting a "domestic" rival who was coming off a loss and 14 months out of the ring. Murray was a hypejob that made a name fighting journeyman and dropping khans name.

Im glad he got knocked out.

Great fight there were times I thought Mitchell had Murray going earlier and Murray had Mitchell going! Great FOTY candidate!

What ducking and fighting a WORLD CLASS fighter? He wanted to face Rios, imagine if that fight happened, murray would have got absolutely murdered. Mitchell brought him back down to reality, murray will never be a world champion he doesn't have power, speed, footwork, defence and a below average chin at best.

I didn't get to see this fight, but I thought Mitchell had a lot of talent watching him before the Katsidis fight. If I remember correctly, I think he hurt Katsidis a couple times before getting stopped himself. Also hurt Prescott quite a bit in earning a decision.

Good to see he didn't let the loss hurt him.

Can foreigners stop saying Murray was a UK hype job. I promise you nobody in the UK rated Murray.

I knew this would happen murray just isnt quick enough simple as that murray with some hand speed would be a much better fighter unfortunatly he hasn't and will never have this im a murray fan but knew hed come up short.

As for mitchell i still think he gets beat by most lightweights easy rios, marquez, katsidis, soto, vazquez even david diaz anyone with a bit of speed and some head movement in this division takes him out, Katsidis took him out with speedy power shots and i beleive the ''never trained properly'' is an excuse for getting whipped hopefully katsidis next and bye bye kevin mitchell.

Excellent fight! Puts the Murray calling out Khan stuff in to perspective now doesn't it? Very one dimensional fighter who was too busy padding the record, did not progress. Has one way of fighting and ZERO defence. Against a guy who can hit and move, was always gonna be his kryptonite.

Impressed with Mitchell. The guy has been out a long while, it was a high pressure fight for him. A real test of his mental resolve but came through very well. Not sure how far he can go, looks a fringe world title challenger, but he could possibly get a belt, if he really applies himself and fights out of his skin.

Nice to see Kev back in the mix.
