I like this. I agree completely.

Just read her posts. She thinks that Manny is only training Wlad because he is paying him well, and Wlad's career is over at 28 when there are virtually no top heavyweights under 30. She hates Wlad.

        Maybe you have a point.

Tracee, do you hate or not hate, like or not like Wlad, and why ?

This is exactly why I don't understand why people write off Wlad.
Wlad is a brilliant young fighter. He is the Olympic champion.

He lost his last fight, but someting was obviously wrong in that fight.

`No stamina' story does not fly, since he went even faster with Mercer. Maybe there was something wrong with preparation -- modern sports use nutrition and supplements that can heavily affect the energy levels at any given point. Kostya Tzyu felt victim to that in his fight with Phillips.

`No chin' story is nonsense. He certainly does have a good chin compared to Lennox. He does have a good chin compared to Byrd. He does have a good chin compared to Sanders, Rahman, and others. His chin is not granite, but he does have a good chin.

`No heart' story is garbage. I think he does have tremendous heart. He has never given up himself; in each of his losses the fight has been stopped by the referee or the coner.

Olympic Champs? I'm sorry to dis-agree. Heart? Yes Chin? Yes But STAMINA? Not neccesarilly. Remember that they are amateurs, less rounds.

the nly reason wlad wont become champ and rein.he might become champ but the klits wont last... DO YOU UNDERSTAND THEY HAVE NO LEGS 22 inches is the same as syd vanderpool syd vanderpool.. i think vlad is the best heavy offensively beside tyson.. but defensivelly with 22 inchhighs he wont be able to get in dog fights thats why im thinking danny williams might upset vitali if he leans on him and fghts a physical fight ..not just box ,, fight

Even if stamina is a problem, I am sure Wlad has worked on it.

Regarding the "amateur" boxing, it is a somewhat different sport, but it is not amateur. There used to be a whole world outside the U.S. where "amateur" boxing was the only option, and all boxers in that sport were professional; they made living from this sport. There were many great boxers whom we know and respect that made that "amateur" sport great.

He has been stopped thrice. That's just as worse.
Betting that Wladdy will be stopped again by Touch of Sleep.

The relevant question is how much Wlad and Vitaly can squat.
The sheer volume of muscle is not so important. That's why Arnold never was and never could be the weight-lifting champion like Vlasov. There is a correlation between volume and power, but it is not as strong as one might think.
