It's a smart move for the fighters but for boxing as a sport and for the fans it's dissapointing.
All these turds talk about is money and retirement, what happened to talking about kicking some ass and taking some names...

You know me dude you should have known I was joking..
Alright dude, I should've known that. I know you're not a hater, and you usually are on point with your comments.

Yea, I doubt Khan is going anywhere by 28, but even if he does, I don't get all the ******ed false outrage. The ONLY people who would give a **** about him retiring early are, obviously the people that want to see him fight, HIS FANS.

And all this is predicated on Khan achieving what he wants by 28, which is a BIG if. So, again, all this out rage is completely thoughtless and dishonest.

Did you even read the article?
He said he wants to be a p4p fighter, so ITS OBVIOUSLY not all about the money. It's so obvious most of you guys don't even read the articles you're commenting on.

And he could've made more money if he stayed in the UK, he came here specifically to test himself.

If it was about the money, Khan would've just fought Euro tomato cans with minimal risk for his whole career, while selling out 20,000 seater arenas.

Khan seems like kinda guy who likes to get a rise out of people..Smart promtion tactic if ya ask me..He says things sometime that he means and other times its to get a response,if Khan fought a butt load of names by the time he was 28 and wanted to retire god bless him..But the way its so hard to make fights nowa days I don't think its realistic to believe that he will..I think we should just enjoy the young talent trying to prove their greatness while we can..

IF Khan can beat Judah and Bradley to become undisputed/lineal champ at 140lbs, then beats Mayweather at 147 (beating Mayweather is very unlikely) and then have more big wins at 147 and 154 before he's 28., then he could very well be considered an ATG.. Definite HoF'er.

Especially if the Mayweather he beats is coming off the back of the best win of his career (a win over Pacquiao).

Khan becoming a 2-weight lineal champion is very possible. If Pac and Floyd retire soon, then Khan could very well be the best fighter at 147 for the next few years.

There's absolutely an element of self promotion in what Khan says.

Boxing isn't like GOLF, or Tennis, where you have a tournament, and the winners take home the most money.

Doesn't matter how good you are, you have to get fans, and a large part of this is promoting yourself with supreme confidence.

Bradley has done well from himself in his last few fights, making more money than he has in the past, but he's an the perfect example of how the best boxers don't always have the most fans.

I'm curious as to what is going on with Timmah.

this sort of rhetoric is never good from a boxer

he's probably recognizing that he's deteriorating
that means he can honestly go nowhere but downhill

he didn't look good at all against mccloskey
perhaps he knows something we do not.

he used to claim that he was going ot unify at 140
                    get fights at 147
and finish his career as a jr MW

maidana changed all that, it seems
