Simple risk vs reward. Nobody gives a **** about Margarito. More money to be had in other fights. Floyd didnt fight him either, but he would have shut him out and made him look like a beginner. Margarito without the Cotto win is nothing. Oh, let me rephrase that. Mararito without plaster in the Cotto fight AND Cotto fighting the wrong fight is nothing. Not sure what part to start with here. Let's begin with Oscar being much bigger than Floyd. As if, um, Margarito wasn't a giant compared to Pacquiao? It was literally, in ring, a small Junior Middleweight vs a large Super Middleweight.

I'd say Pac over Marg mainly on the fact of the size difference. Not by a wide margin either, its just that Floyd didn't really impress in his biggest fight of his career. But the Oscar that fought Floyd > Marg that fought Pac.
