What legit opponents? He called out Cotto when he was in 147, he called out Pacquiao, when asked if he would fight Williams in a post fight interview in HBO a couple of years ago, he said yes he would love to fight Paul Williams. So I don't know what legit opponents at 147 he slipped by.

Berto isn't slick in anyway at all, he just goes in there with no gameplan and throws a bunch of quick power shots, hope they land and hope if they land that they ko his opponent.

Whatever went on behind the scenes, the reality is that Berto didn't fight any of those guys and instead fought a number of smaller fighters, shot fighters, or smaller shot fighters. The only non-shot welterweight he fought arguably beat him.

The really lame thing was him losing to a smaller guy, having never taken on any of the elite fighters at 147 that are no longer there.

Berto appears to be fighting a good come-back opponent meaning its risky. So I actually have alot of respect for him coming off a loss taking on the fighter he is. I saw youtube videos of his opponent and he looks tough.

Tho, I thought it was idiotic for Berto to claim Ortiz a cheater after losing to him. That just made Berto come off as a classless sore-loser.
