        Umm bit of a ****** question but it's honest curiosity, I couldn't help but notice his name was Vladimir, is it pronounced the same as Wladimir? If so, what would be the point of assigning different letters the same sound?

                In certain Eastern Euro regions his name is spelled with the "V". I think it went to a "W" because of his run in Germany, where it might be traditionally spelled with a W
