I've watched Bute fight Andrade 2x, Miranda, Brinkley, Magee, and Mendy, and not once have I been excited by his performance.
The fact Bute ended Miranda and Andrade as clinically as he did, when most didn't probably didn't expect him to do in that fashion, was impressive, but I find his performances to be lack luster for the most part, he is way too economical and tentative for my liking, now I can forgive someone like Wlad this kind of approach, as I know he's protecting a shaky chin, but Bute fights lesser fighters, allows them to exist in the fight for too long.
Put your foot down, be more assertive for crying out loud, look who you're fighting.
