Molina is not a gatekeeper he is showing everyone that he is actually a good fighter who just had some tough breaks early on.
It's the way he lost which was brutal that plus the long lay off

Immediately after the fight, I made a crack about how either the fight was fixed, or they dragged three homeless guys off the street to judge the bout. This quote from the article was particularly interesting to me, and shows I was on the right track:

"None of the judges for the fight were experienced at the top level of boxing. I can see a commission breaking in a new judge when it feels he or she is ready. But an entire panel of inexperienced judges? That is not acceptable, especially when there are several qualified judges who work regularly in New Jersey.

Furthermore, if you examine the scorecards, Whitaker and Givens actually scored the 12th and final round 10-10. Even rounds are not all that common. But to score the final round of a major fight even is ridiculous. The judges are paid to make that tough call. So make it." - Dan Rafael

(As an aside, Harold Lederman had the final round for Williams; I had it for Lara.)

He was the same Paul he always was but Lara is a good fighter and had a game plan. PWill's poor technique assisted him in executing it, I don't think Paul is any less the fighter than he was before the Sergio loss.

This is an interesting comment. I keep asking myself if Williams lost something. I have to say, it appeared to me that Paul was a little off. Did it have something to do with the "Maravilla" KO? Was it just P. Will succumbing to the punishment he's taken over time? Or was it, as you might say, the same ol' Paul? Regardless, it was a clear win versus a formerly elite fighter. Lara proved something.

The outcome of Lara-Williams won't be overturned. But if enough people make noise, we might be able to make the outcome of future bouts fairer. There will always be controversy. Judging a fight isn't always easy. However, atrocities like the scores for the fight in question can be avoided.

if you look at the score card two of the judges gave williams round 11 a round that lara clearly won, and ****ens gave round 2 to lara and then you can tell how he writes over it and changes the scores wow

Williams reminds me of Roy Jones Jr. Roy lost to Tarver in their 1st fight & came out to say "of course I knew I won the fight" in the post fight interview. Williams does the same against Lara. Pathetic.

Right now I feel Williams is gonna end up like Roy. He wants a rematch with Martinez, I can picture Paul being brutally KO'd by Martinez once again just like Roy was KO'd at the hands of Lebdev. Sad.

                    Williams should retire soon.

Roy clearly won a close competitive fight.
