I've always liked David Tua and he's seldom in a boring fight. This fight (against Monte Barrett) makes sense even though Monte is years past his prime and not too highly regarded in the hw division. Tua gets to 'right things' and avenge his draw while making a decent payday...

Assuming he wins this fight, I don't see any reason why he can't fight his way back into the hw mix and land a title shot. The thing about David Tua is, he hasn't been in a lot of hw wars, and he's never been KO'd, like other fighters his age and that are still boxing. I'm rooting for Tua and hope he has a couple great fights left in him...

He matches up well with Arreola, Boytsov, Peter and even David Haye....

The first fight btwn Tua and Monte was very entertaining. Monte was in great shape. Looking forward to the rematch.

It was an entertaining back-and-forth fight. I'm looking to the rematch but I think Tua will take care of business early this time around. Tua looked sharp in his last fight while Barrett did not and it been reported that Tua has kept in shape.

Tua knows he needs a big win or it's over.

          It really is that simple.

Whether Barrett can recapture the magic he found in their first fight is the question. Monte was in spectacular shape for that one.

Always been if fan of Tua but I'm afraid he's too past it to make a big splash in the HW mix.

Still I hope he has enough to get past Barrett and make a good payday vs someone good.

Thanks Tua is humble it would be great if he wins and gets a chance to fight the Klitschkos not just for the title shot but he'd get a big payday as well he deserves it.

Wlad already offered him a fight when Povetkin pulled out, Tua said no, cause the money was too low, which could be true but Wlad pays at least $1 mil to everyone, so I am not sure why Tua turned that down. I think Tua has no chance against Wlad, just like everyone else, but I hope he does get a good payday before he retires.

Really? Never knew that, Would be hard for Tua to take on Wlad just simply to size and after seeing the lennox vs tua fight I would guess Wlad would do similar thing. Tua hurt lennox a few times where you could see lennox knees get weak but dont think tua noticed so didnt capitaliza on the chances.

Guess we gota see what happens after this fight coming up
