I was thinking the other night of Ricardo Torres the horrific columbian slugger who beat Kendal Holt and lost to Holt and Cotto. He wasnt a skilled boxer but he did have that one punch knockout, By his record seems like he started fighting at much heigher weight classes, Has he retired? Why did he retire so early? I would fancy Torres to beat the likes of Alexander and have epic slug fests with Maidana and Matthyse.

Torres and Holt fights were weird. The first one was weird because weren't people throwing beer cans in the ring and other stuff? The second fight was weird because didn't Holt accidentally headbutt Torres so hard that Torres was hurt than Holt landed a brutal KO shot? They probably should have had a rubber match but something weird would most likely happen again.

You are right, I remember now, Torres couldnt make the 140lb weight. The fight was cancelled.

man you hit that right on the nail, I was always afraid but looking for forward to a 3rd fight b/c I thought it might end in a double knockout or something crazy. The headbut Holt landed while Torres was on the ropes was crucial. It all happened so fast the ref only seen what followed the headbutt which was that vicious right hand that literally put Torrez to sleep.
