I personally don't like any of HBO's commentators and yes they do leave a lot to be desired. However, that does little to detract from the fact that Williams actually did get his a$$ kicked.

9 rounds to 3 for Lara is bull****. 10rounds to 2 for Lara is being a straight P-Will hater.... I agree that Williams lost but 9-3 makes no sense whatsoever..

I personally watched the fight 3x. I had it 7-5 for Lara twice, and 6-6 draw the third time.. Paul has always been a volume puncher, and honestly I can see a few rounds where judges chose Williams' activity>Lara's accuracy. Sometimes activity just looks better that accuracy and I think a few rounds took that shape..

Its not the first time volume beat accuracy..

I might score it closely to see but I don't see how Paul won more than 3 rounds...let alone 6 or 7...

HBO did overreact to some of Lara's shots but Paul was eating some leather...

And yeah it was a bit inappropriate for them to ask Peterson about Paul retiring before the fight was concluded...

All this fight proved to me was is that all Paul has to do is wing his arm punches for as long as he can and stay on his feet to win a fight. And I don't care if Paul threw 2000 punches if the other fighter landed more shots and cleaned his clock in the process he won the fight. As Lara did. Lara also out moved out boxed and out classed Williams. And for Paul's trainer to state that nothing has to change is down right criminal. The only problem is Paul is not a good enough fighter to change.

I agree with Goosen on a few of the points he brings up and the fight is definitely much closer than HBO and a lot of people on here have it. Some people just jump on the bandwagon and arent looking at whats happening.
And counterpunchers usually dont beat high-volume fighters so its really not that big of a surprise either way. People should not be shocked.

Paul Williams went over to Lara and told Lara that he won. Welcome to the corruption of Dan Goossen. And the final fight of super 6 should take place in England since his fight Ward has had home field advantage the entire time.

Williams lost the fight plain and simple. It was'nt even close at all.
