Why is Al Haymon so influential?

I don't get it. All of his fighter are B level except for Floyd Mayweather. Mayweather is the only elite and true draw he has, but why so much influence over at HBO? I don't think HBO caves in that much just because of Floyd. Is he connected to people or is it money or what?

PS. I don't want to see that pair of Watson beavers that are always trying to get camera time.

Let's just say Haymon is the silent brain behind the Mayweather Empire and other goings on at HBO.

Al Haymon has been around for years, even if you haven't heard of him.

He was a BIG promoter (think still is, in some capacity) of concerts and big sporting events and has dealt with a whos who list in the entertainment industry.

Hes hugged up with alot of the top TV execs, hence his clout at HBO.

He always tries to stay out of the spotlight, apart from being at fights.. he doesn't do TV interviews or court the press.

He has that 'Keyser Soze' type mystery about him.

lol at people not liking this guy when most of you don't even know what he does or what he looks like He knows how to get his fighters on TV and he makes them A LOT OF MONEY

What ever the hell he does...he is doing it right

I don't blame him for his fighters getting controversial decisions I blame the JUDGES and if they are accepting BRIBES that is still on the JUDGES FOR ACCEPTING IT and not having the balls to say NO!

word on the street is that if HBO refuses him something one of the HBO execs will get killed.

Al-Haymon is a lowlife criminal POS who needs to be killed along with Don King. They are ruining boxing
