Chapo Rosario was very tough and took beatings and never quit. Wilfredo Gomez was a tough fighter and stood toe to toe with Salvador Sanchez and Pintor.

Carlos Ortiz was also a tough guy who was a great boxer but never was afraid to brawl if need be. He also fought outside of PR and NY and wasn't scared to go on the road.

On topic (and for other posters' information) in regards to Gómez and Rosario, those guys battled it out until the very end. Gómez may have lost to Sánchez and Rosario to JCC. but they certainly gave it their all until they could no longer. Same for Tito.

I also may be inclined to talk crap about Vargas (because I never liked his attitude) but he was entertaining and fought his heart out in every single one of his fights, and that merits at the very least fans' respect.
