Brandon Rios is fun to watch, i Love his heart and determination. BUt lets be real here, he is nothing more then another Gatti, Ward, Margarito type. These types are a dime a dozen, what they lack in real boxing skill, they makeup for with determination. Unfortuntely, this leads to short careers and too many unecessry wars and health issues.Comment

Alright, i admit, maybe not a dime a dozen but you run into these type of skill sets pretty easily. I have nothing against it, I appreciate the wars these guys go through to make a livining and get on top. Their makeup leads to many fan pleasing wars. But put them into a ring with a fighter whose got genuine well rounded skills and 9/10 they will lose.Last edited by p4p-champ; 07-11-2011, 09:10 AM.Comment

best example of a bandwagonerAfter watching Brandons superb display against antillon at the weekend. I have to say Rios is sure as hell a throwback mexican warrior from years back. The heart with which this man fights is unreal, he will literally go to war and not take a backward step until he has won. Boxing needs guys like Rios who puts it all on the line and entertains the fans with every fight.
I hope arum lines up some big money fights for this guy soon, the way rios fights means he will not grow old well so needs to make as much money as possible before he retires.
On a side note, him vs Amir khan at the end of the year or early next year would be a dream fight. Both superb fighters and world champs going at it. It would be a pick'em fight and I for one cannot predict who will win.Comment

Not true, you are basing that on the fact that Mayweather beat Gatti or DLH beat up on Gatti.Alright, i admit, maybe not a dime a dozen but you run into these type of skill sets pretty easily. Look, boxing isn't just about styles, it's the man with the style. Margarito for example is a come forward fighter, yes he isn't the greatest boxer but he isn't the worst. It's his chin, toughness and relentless pressure that beats people.
I agree, skilled boxers will usually win out but it also depends on the man. Look at Devon Alexander, very skilled boxer but IMO he has been beaten by two sluggers recently.
That's what makes boxing so great, the difference in styles but also the heart and will of the man with that particular style.Comment

IMHO they were still scum, making fun of a sick individual may it be speech impediment or even worse making fun of the ******ed and although I do not wish for anyone to get hurt or any fighter to get parkinsons, I agree witn No.1 that its kind of karma ...Comment
