Could he be ready for Pacquiao one day? Yes, but he isn't ready for him right now. 1 or 2 more fights at 135lbs then move up to 140lbs. Clean out that division and then move to 147lbs. If he takes his time and gains more experience this way I could see him fighting Manny or Floyd. Moving him up now would be a mistake. Just Like Ortiz vs Mayweather. Victor is a good fighter but he doesn't deserve the Mayweather fight nor is he ready to fight someone on that level right now. Too early.

Seasoning in the 135-140lbs tidepools would give Rios the where-with-all to handle a boxer like Manny. But Rios needs time, as well as Gesta needs more seasoning.
