Clearly this is a bait thread and indicative of the hate and jealously alot of people have for Black American fighters due to their dominance in the sport for over a century. No matter how much of a "slump" Black Americans fighters are in , no other group will produce the pedigree of champions Black Americans have.Mexicans can never produce a Ray Robinson,Ali,Joe Louis,Tyson etc etc. Whites cant produce any of the aforementioned group either (Joe Louis wasnt in his prime when he fought Marciano).Black Americans have shapped the sport of boxing

true but blacks will never have a greater tennis player like pancho gonzalez or raul ramirez, or professional skateboarders like tony alva and paul rodriguez jr etc

Europeans have dominated boxing for the last 10 years

                Its not a "slump"

Its simply the way the sport has changed.

Europeans dominate the sport, hold the highest % of titles, and also have the best fighters.

PS) HBO is really sucking these days and it wont be long till all big fights happening in Germany not USA.

You can already view this with the biggest fight this year (Klitschko-Haye) occurring in Germany, not USA.

Dont forget that black Americans of the past (Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, Sugar Ray Robinson) had much less competition than exists today.

Eastern Europeans did not compete in pro boxing until the late 1990s.

History probably would have been a lot different if Eastern Euros were competing in the 60s, 70s, and 80s.

Probably many of the black greats would have been beat by European fighters.

Muhammad Ali was not a world champion, because at that time, boxing was not a 'world sport'. It was an American sport with the odd foreigner or two.

Today, boxing is a global sport and Black Americans are not doing well.

If you attribute the lost of viable Black American heavyweight champs to the Euros just being better , than i really for sorry for you

Take a look at the NFL and NBA and all of those 6 foot monsters that would be dominating the heavyweight divsion , had they not taken up basketball/football
