NOT ****IN FIGHT SOUTPAWS. his 3 losses have all come to southpaws. not a coincidence. the overhand left he always gets hit with is not a problem with orthodox fighters.

I don't understand. Williams gets knocked out by a crafty southpaw in Martinez, and yet in his first comeback fight, they place him with another crafty southpaw? Makes no sense. imo the blame shouldn't be on peterson, it should be on his promoter, who is not giving him the right fights. Part of the reason Pac and May are so great is that they know how to pick opponents that suit their style. William's biggest problem is that he doesn't cherrypick his opponents like a lot of top fighters

At the end of the day, Williams is undefeated against orthodox fighters, and id still favor him over anybody from 154-160 not a southpaw

I agree with most of what you said...its not only that he's fighting southpaws but he just doesn't have good defense period...

I think he can overwhel guys at 147 but anyone who can punch at 154/160 could get him in trouble...every big fight Paul has had he got hit a lot in...even the Margarito bout...

I don't understand how you get hit with the same punch over and over again and not make some type of adjustment or try and lean your head another way...

Margo had issues landing until late in the fight.

Kermit landed a few shots but it was early.

He should fight Vanes or Wolak to see what happens.

it's not just a southpaw thing. it's a stylistic thing. anyone with decent lateral movement knows they can walk him into punches all night. cintron completely shut his offense down but he was just too scared to throw many punches in return. i think a lateral boxer with a good right hand might actually be worse for williams because he will be able to land even easier(is that possible?) williams team keeps selecting southpaws for him to fight. kinda su****ious.

It's not just about him getting hit easily, it's that slick and or counterpunching southpaws have his number.

If he should fight elite orthodox fighters, Vanes or Wolak aren't elite.

Carlos Molina is more elite than Cintron, Wolak and Vanes, IMO.
