Why all the Paul Williams hate?

Not his fault that the judges were a bunch of morons. The guy gives his 100% every fight, every time Williams fight you know that he is going to try to bring the action by throwing 1000 punches a fight, he is willing to fight any fighter at any time at any weight, and has never ducked anyone. I have never heard him talk any over the top trash about anyone and has always been a class act with his opponents for the most part. With that said, I don't understand where all this hate against the guy comes from? I understand he got an undeserved decision, but still don't see how you could possibly dislike him.

It's probably because of Burner. After years of Burner promoting him on NSB. People have come to dislike PWill and want to see him lose. Most likely to rub into Burner's face.

      No offense Burner just saying.

My biggest hate is for his trainer and I hate guys like Williams & Judah who are so devoted to them that it ruins there careers. There trainers suck and there careers couldve been better. That goes for other guys too

Paul Will still is durable in my opinion so he is not completely shot to *****. P Will needs to find himself a new trainer to teach him how to fight tall and work on his defense. I believe this guy with the right guidance from steward could be a threat to anyone at 154

Paul Williams - tall as a South Carolina pine, heart as big as the State itself.

            Respect that man.

I don't think he's shot, I just never thought he was any good and the blueprint to beat him is out now.

I also don't get all this talk about "Williams being such an exciting fighter", yes the guy has heart, but a 6'4 prey mantis with a wingspan of a heavy throwing pitty patty punches all round in a sloppy manner does not make him an exciting fighter. Only exciting fight I ever saw him in was the first against Sergio and that was only cause Sergio hadn't really trained for that fight.

He gets more preferential treatment than Berto does and Jermaine Taylor did when you really stop to think about it. Very pampered fighter in regards to the way HBO treats him and the way judges are very biased in his fights. That's reason enough right there to not like him.

Plus he didn't really fight Lara and Martinez the second time because he wanted to. He did it because HBO made him. So in that regard, he isn't really pampered. But it's just things that are really noticeable that makes it look like HBO is really biased towards him.

Like getting introduced first in the Martinez rematch when Martinez came to the fight as the champ. What kind of garbage is that? Asking for a catch weight. I can go on and on but I'll just leave it at this.

Both of those guys could have had much better careers if they didn't waste so much time with people that weren't qualified to train talents like them, but at the same time you have to respect them for being loyal though.

How do you figure that HBO made him take those fight? Paul took those fights because they were the best available not because he didn't want them.
