Comments Thread For: Lucian Bute Eyes Froch vs Ward Winner For Early 2012

IBF super middleweight champion Lucian Bute (29-0, 24KOs) has promised to unify the titles in early 2012, and then he wants to return to Romania to make a unified title defense. On Saturday night he defended his title in Bucharest, retaining the belt for the eight time with a fourth round knockout of mandatory challenger Jean Paul Mendy.

Now some are gonna say that Bute is ducking Pavlik..Even thou Pavlik looked like S H I T in his last fight against unknown Alfonso Lopez in a MD win & many thought Lopez won the fight..& right now the winner of Froch & Ward is a much more interesting fight for the fans & a much more dangerous fight for Bute..If Pavlik wants to get in the mix, he should challenge Stieglitz(the WBO Champ) & if he beats Stieglitz then maybe it would give Bute an incentive to consider unifying against him & would also make a fight against Pavlik much more interesting...

Bute's in a rare position of elite fighters who feel they don't have much to prove and fight all the French cab drivers they wants without jeopardizing their marketability. I don't think Bute's earned that status, so I'm hoping he gets exposed when he finally takes a step up.

          Get in line Bute.

He can't just expect to fight the winner. He needs to fight the Kessler's/Dirrell's/Johnson's/Green's/Steiglitz to show he deserves it.

What if Ward v Froch is a close fight? The loser deserves a rematch before Bute.

wow Bute just disgraced the sport of boxing with another horrible mismatch against some semi pro cap driver. I for one can´t wait for the day when that fraudulent ducker disgrace finally meets someone remotely good in the ring, takes his beating and goes away.

                And Bute will be exposed.

Ward or Froch. Both beat him. Ward does it easily. Froch will do it ugly.

Bute's defence looks like ****. He got tagged again, just like with Mcgee, except this time from a lesser boxer than Mcgee.

Ward is good, Froch is smart in the ring, if he doesn't pick up the slack, Bute will lose. I get it, you gotta carry the missmatch, put on a *show*, but all these fights are at the expense of his talent and potential.
