Come on people first analyze the quiestion first before answering like ****en newbies!! Rios would KO out Valero at 135...
Valero being the urban legend-perfect-record-KO-machine will always be a bit overrated, but he was skillfull and he had power on both hands and was very fast. He was as powerfull as Rios, you can ask Antillon.

I think that Valero's offence is widely overrated as his defense is widely underrated. He was a demented brawler in Japan because he would get paid extra for 1st round KOs. Once he was past the 19 KOs in the st round we began to see how he was able to pick his shots and paw away punches as well as ducking and slipping. Too bad he's dead now.

I too have Valero on a pedestal and I think he would have been very dangerous for Rios, specially with those nasty body shots where Rios seems to be more affected.

      Valero by death.

The only person who could beat Valero was Valero himself.

Yeah but Valero was much too small for Rios.

If Valero was still here and doing what he was doing it would be close.

At some point in their career everyone is untested. Ignorant way to make a prediction.

I love Rios, I really do, but Valero wins this. Late KO in a very tough fight.

Rios is just there to be hit and Valero had underrated footwork and head movement. I see it being pretty even in the first few rounds, then slowly having Valero take control and dominating the late rounds.

The thing is that we never got to see his true potential against top notch level. He died too young and he wasn't like Sal Sanchez who at his young age was already a well tested warrior.

Valero, although some are questioning that he had problems with demarco, he had just moved up in weight to fight him. Not only that, but valero had power in both hands, speed, footwork, and stamina. It would be a slugfest and I would pick valero with a late ko. Valero would work that body like a mechanic...
