Cotto is a southpaw, who fights orthodox and is adept from a southpaw stance when the situation requires it.

He's a better and more accomplished boxer than Lara, with more power. He'd work Paul on the inside and put that jab into his face all night.

He may not emulate totally Lara's gameplan, but he'd more than likely emulate Quintana's gameplan, another fighter who took Paul to class for 12 rounds, whom Cotto is a few levels above as well.

I thought Paul Williams lost 10-2, but let's but be ****ing ****** here and say some one who went life and death with an old ass Mayorga, got knocked out by an older version of Margarito than the one Williams beat, and lost to a former Flyweight, would beat Paul Williams.

All credit to Erislandy Lara for whooping Paul Williams. But GTFO with that Miguel Cotto shit. Lara would whoop Miguel Cotto, Paul Wiliams would woop Miguel Cotto. Actually Bob Arum now has a real excuse to keep Cotto away, and all of his fighters, from Paul Williams. And that's Williams performance against Lara, although these type of performances will usually get you a shot a TR fighter.

Cotto's only trouble spot with Mayorga was in the 7th, when Mayorga landed a good body shot. He controlled Mayorga the whole fight. What are you talking about?

I exaggerated with life and death comment. But Cotto did not impress me. I was expecting a blow out KO before the 6th round.

Paul has the same style as Marg. Cotto can't handle swarmers and pressure fighters PERIOD. He can't handle them. Cotto loses by getting his ass handed to him just like Margarito and Pacquiao did. In the same exact fashion. Look good until the 5-6 round and then get his ass handed to him.

did i say mayorga won? i just dont think its anything for cotto to brag about esp against that version of mayorga. all that fight told me is cotto dont belong at 154 and he'll never be elite again. dont make it seem like cotto beat some great prime champion. he didnt.
