    wow.........
Yep. So he gave him the gift decision because he threw 517 more punches than Lara. **** all of these corrupt judges, man!

if williams fought angulo and he was in top form they would have washed paul out of the ring with a hose

he would have turned him into mush

The Cintron fight, I thought he was clearly losing and getting hit very hard before ol' boy went sky diving.

Now this fight, this wasn't a razor close win, Lara dominated this guy and if Lara had a little more 'oomph' in his punches, PWilly would be dead
People forget the long layoff and he is returning after a brutal KO.

They need to baby him a little so he can regain his timing and confidence.

Fighting Kermit and Lara after a KO wasn't the best idea.

He fought Cintron after Martinez I, this was his first fight after the KO.

So you call a loss, a beating (not a bad one, but this fight was not close), and pretty much being out classed by a 15-0 fighter being babied?

              That is some tough love..

You say style wise, right? Did you notice in the fight when PW started to turn up the heat, what it was that stopped him dead in his tracks, and completely turned the fight in Lara's favor?

The right hook (lead and counter).

Williams started to adjust to the straight/overhand left as he put on the pressure, so Lara started to throw the right hook. Paul had no answer for it. After a few rounds, Lara started to mix the right hook with the straight left. Lara created a new problem for Williams...Not just the one Sergio gift wrapped for him.

Williams problems begins in camp, and nothing else. His camp clearly has to much pride.
It's not a common excuse. Look at his 3 toughest fights.

                Quintana loss: Southpaw, decent counterpuncher
Martinez I: Southpaw, great handspeed, lots of power
                Martinez 2: ^
Lara: Southpaw, great counterpuncher, great handspeed, good power

Obviously, that's not just a common excuse. That is an actual fact, that Williams has more trouble with southpaws.

Also, if you see the Winky Wright fight, that was an old past prime Winky, and Williams dominated him pretty wide, but look at how much Winky Wright caught Williams in that fight despite the wide decision loss. Winky Wright is a southpaw.

It is common among his fan base. Williams gets hit a lot no matter who he fights.

Like I said, his problem begins in camp. It just carries over to his fights.

Who would want to fight Williams after seeing results like this?

There are a lot of people out there that really want to ruin boxing.

Not totally shot, probably getting worse for the wear though. This fight didn't help his longevity. Martinez completely and utterly brutalizes him in a rematch. Lara should get the big fight coming out of this. I don't want a rematch. Everyone knows he was the true winner.
