If Marquez beat Pacquiao where is he as a mexican boxer?

Where do you rank him in terms of the best mexican boxers if he beats Pac and become #1-2 P4P?

I have him ranked number 4-5 behind Julio Cesar Chavez, Salvador Sanchez, (Carlos Zarate) and Ricardo Lopez.

I personally would be shocked if he wins the fight since i don't think he handle Pac over 140 pounds, and should have tried to get atleast a 142 pound catchweight,

If he does beat Pac i think he may move ahead of Barrera and Morales, since EM did get KO losses twice to Pac. I don' t think however he will surpass the big 4 Salvador Sanchez, Ruben Olivares, Julio Cesar Chavez, and Ricardo Lopez. But you can make a debate about who is standing in the top 4.

If he beats the # 1 P4P, the Fighter of The Decade, and a top ATG, in his prime while going up 2 weight classes at the age of 38 and getting a title in his 4th Weight class.

Then yes IMO he would surpass all other Mexicans, with the exception of the Half Mexican Duran

Take into account i'm extremely biased because hes my favorite boxer.

If beat Pac no matter how he did it he would be honored with his own holiday in Mexico. It would be an upset of grand proportions. He would be > Horchata.

If JMM beats him again, he has to be considered the greatest Mexican of all time.

Finito was great, but didn't have marquee opponents.

Chavez was great, but didn't beat as many quality names as Marquez and lacked the technique of Marquez.

Sanchez died at 23 and didn't accomplish enough to be rated so highly.

Morales is good but ineffectual beyond 126.

Barrera is good but ineffectual beyond 126.
