It's a smart move by Kessler, he will have more to bring to the table if he beats Stieglitz. And Kessler probably don't have more than 2 or 3 fights at the championship level, so let him get a belt to capitalize.

Bute won't leave Canada so let Kessler get the belt and fight the Super 6 winner.

Bute lowballed Kessler. Interbox send an offer of a meager 3M for a fight in Montreal. Sauerland countered with an offer for Bute to come to Copenhagen.

I doubt the negotiations ever go serious.

Anyway Sauerland and Interbox are on good terms I believe. I think both parties realized that the fight isnt right at this particular moment in time.
