Comments Thread For: Abraham's Trainer: Haye Lacked The Courage, No Plan

Famous German coach Ulli Wegner was very disappointed with David Haye's performance in the recent fight with Wladimir Klitschko, who won an easy twelve round decision last Saturday in Hamburg. Wegner told Sportal that Haye lacked the necessary courage to win the fight and he also lacked a proper strategy to defeat the much bigger Klitschko. He even compared the bout to Arthur Abraham's recent one-sided loss to Andre Ward. Wegner trains Abraham.

I'm no Haye fan but that's rich coming from AA's trainer

It seemed a bit like AA's standard 'gameplan' - don't throw punches and look for the odd bingo punch

Haye looked 100% as clueless as Abraham in there.

he's right, was hoping haye would win,but if you're losing a fight,go for it,try and knock the guy out, either knock out or get knocked out your losing anyways,,,,,to me thats an attitude of someone trying to win, courage, giving it their all,,,,i remember antonio escalante saying that after one of his fights that if he's losing and nothing else works, then just go out that way, throw punches and try to knock out your opponent, you have nothing to lose, your losing anyways but this way theres a chance you can land a great shot and win....haye didnt do that,he just fought to survive and not to win
