That's a difficult match up to imagine. Toney on his best night could possibly get the decision. I just think there's to big of a size difference. Toney's a blown up mw and Vitali is a super hw. -
The problem is Vitali is defensive yet uses a wider arsenal (than Wlad) and takes a good punch. Toney's not knocking him out, and he's have to be close to do damage. Jirov nailed him with big shots a lot in the later rounds, and perhaps a decent example of what Vitali does with a fat immobile boxer who likes to lay back on the ropes is his harpooning of Kirk Johnson (thanks for the nautical term, Larry Merchant).
I don't think Vitali would walk through Toney like he did Johnson, but ultimately I think the result would've been the same without the knockout. Vitali would control the distance, Toney would try to leap in with shots every so often, land few punches, probably lose a decision.Comment
