Thanks for a great forum BTW. Great job.
I have only been boxing for 18 months and I have to say I love it. It's a great form of exercise and no day is the other a like. But the problem I am having is that at first when I started I weighed in at about 205 lbs. And in sparring I mostly fought guys my own weight. For me a counter punch strategy really worked since bigger guys don't move as fast. I am not talking about punch speed, just speed in general.
But over the past year I have lost a lot of weight. I am down to 180-175 lbs. And I am seeing that my usual strategy doesn't work as well. Since the guys now are slimmer and faster. I have really worked on my defensive ability but I see that I am lacking in the offense. My question is how do you think is the best way to approach a fast opponent. I need to change my game and I could use some tips?
