There really isnt much to figure out or ask why the rivalry. its simple...both sides love the sport of boxing and are very proud. You put them in the ring, you will get a great audience and a great atmosphere at weigh ins.

All this other talk here about the politics, what each side eats or way of living from either sides is just plain ignorant. No need to live hating another country nor color skin nor there way of living. my opinion.
