Well he hasn't really fought anyone that good yet, its not the number of fights but level of comp that to me makes the difference in where a fighter is at in his career.

age doesnt determine wheather your a prospect or not, the level of comp/number of fights does

Your supposed " rating " has nothing to do with age, and nothing to do with the number of fights that you have under your belt..... it is only about the level of competition that you have faced.

Boxing is a learning curve, and everyone develops differently.

Mitchell had like a dozen amateur fights, turned pro a couple of years ago, and has never faced a genuine contender. That is cabbage-green. He has little-to-no experience, and will continue to develop " on the job ".

Baby steps, or sell him out, they are his two options.

I want to see Mitchell against a guy who clearly thinks he will win -- I don't want to see Mitchell against a 20-1 underdog on HBO of all places

They both ****** and gave horrible fights. But that's the type of opponent that the Klits usually face....the heavyweight division is awful.

I hear what you guys are saying about building him up, but this fight is on HBO.

HBO is the premier boxing network with a lot of dollars and viewership. As a fan, you shouldn't support HBO paying top dollar to show prospects fighting bums. If Mitchell wants to fight bums, HBO should let ESPN handle that.

If you're good enough to be on HBO, you're good enough to fight live opponents.

I doubt HBO would want Johnson on again after his pitiful display against Vitali.

Mitchell actaully looks good for a guy with such little experince but im not sure if this is the right fight, Johnson makes people look awfull and i am not sure if HBO would want him after his performance against Vitali. Mollo isnt a bad fight for Mitchell at this point but then again if Mitchell did go in with Johnson and knock him out that would give his career a massive boost. If i was managing Mitchell i would put him in with Mollo then if he comes through that well put him in with a guy like Johnson or Arreola next.
