When fighters are leaning on eachother, have arms tangled. The type of fight where two guys are constantly pushing against eachother and bumping off with there shoulders and elbows and fighting for better position. Usually this type of fighting is only allowed with certain referees.
you have not seen yet the fight with the korean when both guys bury their heads and jockey for shots?

also to tell you frankly not to many people can do that versus PAC, either your pretty big and strong plus have iron chin to get away with it, some fighters tried that and it only made the fight end quicker ...

I think Floyd will go on the inside at times. The key to getting on the inside is having a timed right hand that can cut the distance to transport em for longer ranges into the inside. Floyd often throws a launching right that makes way for him to enter the pocket, think of it like a battering ram breaking open gates. He'll then use his elbow or push down their head to make their weapon jam, and do his bodywork.

Hatton had no means of getting into the inside and died trying against Floyd and especially manny. Fighting manny is like World War I, dealing with him in mid-range is like charging out of your trench into "no man's land".

Don't get me wrong, Pacquiao's style is super effective with his speed and power. He's a beast when he get's his rythm going. However his inside game against elite level boxers is trash. That's why Roach never encourages it.

Yeah..no doubt pac is dangerous in the mid range but when he has an opponent pressing up against him usuing his bodyweight to keep him from moving around i think thats his weakness.

I think so too. He needs space to put his body behind his punches.

a clinch fight usually happens when a fighter or fighters gets tired, they rest, conserved energy and at the same time dish out punches to their opponents, when manny gets tired he pause covers up yet waits for an opening then boom combos here and there then change position. if an opponent tries to clinch on manny he jabs ducks move sideways a right hook there and a left straight and the opponent stops in his track. his 6-9inch cross or uppercut can also prevents an opp0nent from clinching. it was almost always the phantom punch, the one they were not able to see particularly during exchanges, the one that got cotto and diaz, the short punch thats closest to manny's chest is the one almost always misses by the camera specially when manny,s back is turned toward it and hes covering his opponents from it, just like in some instances during jmm fights. manny doesnt clinch also because he doesnt need to he can fight prolly even more than fifteen rounds.

Pac would be giving up weight and strength on the inside I don't think we are going to see him go there at WW.

It is true that clinching happens alot when fighters get tired thats obvious.

But its totally different when your gameplan is to clinche fight, in order to fight in the clinche u exert alot more energy than it looks like, you have to be able to control your opponents hands and push or pull againt them at the right time. Most skilled, smart fighters use clinche fighting to get their opponents tired and then will go back to boxing.
