Pac doesn't fight on the inside, he darts in and out with a fast combo before guys can counter. Not a knock on him, that just his style and he's very good at it.

I do agree that a solid jab in his face, and some solid hooks to the head and body on the inside might give Mayweather a bit of an advantage.

Looking at the video in the other thread comparing both Mosley fights, I'd say May is quicker but doesn't throw as much and Pac's combos and in and out style very well could give May problems as well.

      Bits and bobs in here.

He is very wild, but does dig to the body well.

I think that vid was about as close as it gets, Pac just doesn't fight on the inside. Sure Morales was able to get Pac into exchanges, and i'm not saying Pac doesn't have short accurate puncheshe lands on the inside, but he just doesn't have that inside fight game.

Mind you Pac's power come from all his body moving behind his punch, something that doesn't work well with inside fighting.

I already said he doesn't inside fight in my first post. However that is fairly close up for Manny.

When Pacquiao made it to the mainstream (post Ledwaba) for some reason he didn't had inside fighting anymore, and it totally diminished when he hooked up with Freddie Roach.

But way back when Pac was fighting local, especially in the early local boxing stint "blow by blow" Pac had simple but effective fighting inside the pocket. Unfortunately no videos are available, only the KO by Torrecampo lurks on youtube .

Looks like he didn't need it anyways, coz he's already used to fight slipping in and out and got better with it.

Thanks for the vids people..not exactly whag i was looking for but itmwas what i expected.

Just because Manny doesnt fight on the inside doesnt mean he wont have to. If he does end up fighting Floyd and he picks up on Manny not throwing punches when he grabs ahold of him im sure floyd would adjust and turn it into a phonebooth fight. When u have someone whos a good boxer its easy for them to turn q simple lead right or 1 2 combinqtion into a clinche, ala ward v green, mayweather v hatton.

just something to keep in mind.

I don't think this is a coincidence. If you look at roach's other fighter Amir, he can't fight on the inside either.

Yeah good eye, kinda strange, but if it works for them then I guess that's all good.

That is true, but I don't think either style causes in side fighting.

With Hatton it did, but he is a one punch and a hugger, rather than an inside fighter.
