The only time I was interested in Hatton post Manny Pacquiao was when there were rumors of a potential fight with Juan Manuel Marquez at 140 back in 2009 or early 2010.. Other than that, I just assumed he was never going to fight again..

Enjoy your retirement Ricky. Any1 who is prepared to step into a boxing ring has my respect. And even more so with Hatton even when he was overmatched by Mayweather and Pacquiao he tried to win when he could have quite easily played the survival game like clottey did. A true warrior who always did his best to please his army of fans.

I had respect for Ricky....he was no slouch.

he shoulda kept fighting those in their final phase like kostya tzyu
or Castillo after his hard wars with Chico while skipping the young
strong up and coming fighters like himself.

His career was definitely MANAGED well

Collazo beat him and he got a gift (IN Boston) hmmmm

From that point i wanted to see him get beat.

          Every dog has his day.

          Respect

It's real sad to hear about ricky. Although I know it's the right decision I just feel bad for the guy. He had a great career, I really wish he would have fought at least one more time so he's last fight wouldn't have to be the brutal ko.

            No need for hate.

Much respect to you Ricky Hatton. Enjoy you life after retirement.
Exactly, real boxing fans respect ricky, he was very good for the sport. He has nothing to be ashamed of, dude lost only twice to the same two guys who beat everyone else.

This must be like the 5th time he's "officially" announced his retirement since the Pacquiao fight.

I was never a Hatton fan...BUT he's overall a good guy! Enjoy your retirement Ricky!! Enjoy it the way Mike Tyson is enjoying it now!! You got the charisma to follow Mike's footsteps in the UK!!

Floyd Mayweather should heed Ricky's words.....coz he's next on the Pacquiao retirement list!!
