Comments Thread For: Lamon Brewster: Vitali Klitschko Would Knock Haye Out

Lamon Brewster, the last man to defeat IBF/WBO/WBA/IBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko, discussed Wladimir's decision win over David Haye from last Saturday in Germany. Brewster stopped Klitschko within five rounds in 2004, which Wladimir later avenged with a six round TKO win in 2007. He saw the fight as a calculated chess match.

The Excusemaker is too much of a vagina to fight Vitaly anyway.

I am English and always like to see our fighters do well,so I was hoping for a haye win. However I am a big fan of Wladimir and always knew that he size up well against haye and win a one sided decision. I also respect what Vitali has done in his career but feel that Haye wins that fight if it ever happens. Vitali doesn't use his size nearly as well as Wladimir, he is much slower of hand and foot and leaves his chin to readily available upon the knowledge that he has a good chin. I see Haye finding his chin with relative ease with his trademark jab straight combo and possibly even stopping Dr Ironfist late. As I feel he is there for the taking should a fast heavyweight with power share a dance with him in the future.

Although Vitali is not in his prime now and slow (to say frankly he was never been a fast boxer) his intelligence, reflexes, timing and eager to fight and to win are still with him. He is a natural born fighter, berserk, as vikings once called such type of warriors. And he was never been on canvas during his boxing carreer. Also he is a counter puncher and like to cath off guard such punchers as David. With his sweeping punches Haye will be a perfect target to Vitali as once was Corrie Sanders. But David's chin and punches are in no comparision with Corrie's. So after Haye's few sweeps he'll get a counter punch to find himself down with light off.

"Punky" Brewster needs to STFU. Not everyone gets knocked out like him.

I don't think so. Vitali is more a fighter than a boxer, and yeah he could be hit by Haye in case that fight could happen. However if Haye was going to use his wild haymakers he would be exposed, and as we all know Vitali takes more risks than Wladimir. Another point to consider is that Vitali throws almost double the amount of punches that Wladimir throws, so for me yeah Haye could hit Vitali more times than he did against Wlad, but he would also receive a lot more, and when it comes to power Vitali is more powerful than Haye. For me it would be a late KO by Vitali.
