On October 29th The Super 6 World Boxing Classic Finale takes place between Unbeaten WBA Super Middleweight Champion and 2004 Olympic Gold Medal Winner — Andre “S.O.G” Ward and once beaten WBC Champion, Carl “The Cobra” Froch.
Froch is going into the fight as a 3/1 underdog according to some bookies and rightly so!
What makes me believe the 3/1 odd’s are justified here is two things. The first being, Ward has not lost a fight Amateur or Pro since he was 12 years old. Ward also took Pre-Tournament favourite Mikkel Kessler who Froch lost his fight with, to school. The second reason is the fight will take place in Ward’s country [America] which is a massive advantage as no fighter has won in an opponent’s backyard during the whole tournament.
Although I do not believe Froch will be the victor here I do believe he will be as gallant as ever, Froch is never in a dull fight. Andre Ward is just too adaptable though in my opinion and whatever ‘The Cobra’ tries to implement, ‘S.O.G’ will have the answer.
